Moonlight Studios began in 2006 as a husband-and-wife dream — and nearly 20 years later, that dream is still going strong. What started as a fun hobby, taking photos for friends and family, quickly turned into something much more. Before we knew it, people were asking us to capture their special moments — and even pay us for it! Getting paid to do something you truly love is a gift, and that joy shines through in every photo we take.

Over the past two decades, we’ve seen photography and technology evolve — and we’ve evolved with it. One thing, however, has never changed: our passion for storytelling through images. Every session is about more than just photos — it’s about capturing genuine, emotional, and timeless moments you’ll treasure for years to come.

Today, Moonlight Studios is still proudly owned and operated by the original duo — Chris and Tammy Bates. While we no longer have a physical studio, we’ve discovered something even better: we bring the experience directly to you. Whether it’s a cozy in-home newborn session, a laid-back backyard family shoot, or a stunning outdoor wedding, we specialize in professional, full-service photography and videography wherever you feel most comfortable.

This approach allows us to capture natural, relaxed, and truly personal moments — in the places that matter most to you.

Tammy Bates – Co-owner and the heart of Moonlight Studios. Tammy has a special talent for capturing emotion and personality, with a focus on seniors, newborns, and creative concepts. She’s patient, artistic, and dedicated — often up late perfecting every detail (just don’t expect her before noon!).

Chris Bates – Co-owner and the guy behind the lens (and the tech). Chris combines creativity with precision, mastering lighting, composition, and the latest photography trends. He also brings cinematic video storytelling to the table, creating powerful visuals that bring your memories to life.
